Guidelines for the Poster Presentation

Format

The poster must be presented in the printed version and should be printed in A0 format (Portrait, 841 mm x 1189 mm).

Text size

The following text size requirements should be complied with: Title apx. 72, Authors apx. 36, for the body text apx. 36. As a rule of thumb: the entire poster should be easy to read at a distance of 3-4 m.

Design

Please familiarize yourself with the requirements of a scientific poster before starting. Research posters summarize information or research concisely and attractively to help publicize it and generate discussion. The poster is usually a mixture of a brief text mixed with tables, graphs, pictures, and other presentation formats. The text should be clear and to the point. The use of bullets, numbering, and headlines make it easier to read, as well as the effective use of graphics, color and fonts. The design of your poster should be consistent with a clean layout and includes acknowledgments, references, your name and institutional affiliation.

Hanging

All posters can be hung during registration on the first day of the conference and at the latest must be hung by the opening. A missing poster will be considered as non-participation in the conference. Posters should be left hanging until the end of the conference but must be removed by the end of the conference. Remaining posters will be discarded at this time. Pins for hanging posters will be made available on site.

Poster Printing at the ITSC

Poster files must be sent to the ITSC via email at least one week in advance. In the case of several posters from the same department or institute, posters should be picked up by one person for further distribution.
